Gulam Ahmed instructed to defend in Rachel Manning murder case.

1 Inner Temple Lane barrister Gulam Ahmed has been instructed to defend in the Rachel Manning murder case.
Miss Manning had been strangled before her killer battered her face in with a car Crook Lock. Her body was found in the grounds of Woburn Golf Club, Milton Keynes in December 2000. Miss Manning's fiance Bari White was charged and convicted of her murder.
White's conviction was quashed by the Court of Appeal having served 6 years in prison. Following the aquittal the police conducted a review of the scientific evidence, which led to the arrest and charge of Mr. Ahmed's defendant.
The trial is likely to take place in the Autumn of 2012.
